The 2017 Kia Sportage has received a new exterior design and some cabin improvements for this model year. The Kia Sportage has always been a popular Kia vehicle in the compact SUV segment and it is one of the longest running models in the car manufacturer’s range. Many have been looking forward to the release date of Sportage 2017, but good news, there is more expectation that the Sportage 2017 has already begun to arrive at dealers.
2017 Kia Sportage Outside
The cool design was made in correspondence with the larger Sorento. In this way, 2017 Kia Sportage has a new, more rounded grid, sharper headlights, larger mist flanks and deeper creases in its middle section. However, this does not mean that he is as big as his medium sized brother. In fact, Sportage remained a compact car with the same problems in the interior space department as before.

2017 Kia Sportage Inside
Speaking of the interior, Sportage was given a brand new cabin. Although there are no significant changes in dimensions, there certainly is in the overall design. We must say that this part of the car takes the biscuit. The previous generation of Sportage was beautiful outside, but 2017 Kia Sportage is now beautiful inside too.
The new dashboard was divided into halves, with one upper being focused on touch-screen info-entertainment, and one lower case containing all controls. Apart from that, the cabin does not look cheap and plasticky anymore – at least not to the extent that it did before. Bluetooth and USB ports will always be offered from the get-go, and hopefully the audio display will be too.
A larger touchscreen should come with navigation and voice commands clustered in the UVO package, and therefore should Sportage advanced electronic security systems. Speaking of this, the new host of safety equipment will now include the blind-spot screens, front collision warning, lane departure warning, rearview mirror camera, and parking aid . Most of this, however, will need to be ordered separately with new 8-inch touchscreen.
2017 Kia Sportage Engine
The Kia Soul 2017 is available in 3 levels of finish. These trim levels are Base with manual transmission or 6-speed automatic, Soul Plus with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Finally, the 2017 Soul Exclaim with turbo and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. This dual clutch transmission (DCT) eliminates the shift shock and allows smoother shift transitions. This in tandem with the turbocharged engine makes for faster and smoother acceleration. The Koreans say that energy efficiency is rising this year too. The official figures will not come out for a while, but the numbers should then be better than 21/28 mpg with normally aspirated, and 20/26 mpg with the turbo powertrain.
Prices are likely to increase by a few percent, and expect entry-level models to cost at least $ 23,000. At the same time, the best grades will probably begin north of $ 30,000.
