The new 2017 Porsche 911 GT 3 swaps its 3.8-liter flat-six for additional travel. The engine is now a 4.0-liter unit, taking power up from 469bhp to 493bhp and tied with the leanest GT3 RS and ultra-perceivable 911 R – revealed at the Geneva Motor Show last year. The same engine could soon appear in the article of a new Cayman GT4 RS manifold. Despite the swell of the size of the engine, the 911 GT3 still weighs to 1430 kg.
Porsche 911 GT 3 Performance
In terms of performance, the 2017 Porsche 911 GT 3 makes 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds – four tenths faster than before – and runs at a maximum speed of 198mph when combined with a seven-speed Porsche PDK automatic transmission. Otherwise, most purists will appreciate the return of the manual gearbox on the GT3. The six-speed sporty manual transmission makes the car slower to 62mph – Porsche citing 3.9 seconds – although edges up to a maximum speed of 199mph.
Chassis Porsche 911 GT 3
Porsche said the chassis of the refreshed base 911 was modified using the latest knowledge gained in the company’s GT3 racing program. The basic design of the chassis remains the same, although Porsche says it has been refined, and it still works in tandem with a rear steering wheel system as well as the engine mounts dynamically to create a drive as balanced as possible. In terms of design the new 2017 Porsche 911 GT 3 gets some slight modifications – Porsche said changes are other aerodynamic advances. The car’s front bumper has been modified for better air circulation and features new LED lights, while new vents appear at the rear next to a new diffuser.

2017 Porsche 911 GT 3 Cabin and Price
