2018 Ford Aspire – Ford will remodel the Figo Aspire compact sedan next year. Facelifted cars should be launched in Brazil first, after which they will come to India. The Brazilian site QuatroRodas carries facelifted car renderings. The renderings indicate that both cars will have style changes that give them a fresh air.
More features should be added to make them more attractive to buyers. The styling changes will be inspired by the Ford Mondeo sedan, which is also called the Fusion in some markets. The headlights of the cars will be narrower and sharper, with a bend forward. We saw the Ford Fiesta sedan (Classic) change course when it was presented in India a few years ago. The grille will have sharper edges and minor changes. The front bumper will also be remodeled. These changes will have repercussions on the hatchback and the compact sedan.
The next-generation 2018 Ford Aspire will be equipped with Ford’s new SYNC 3 infotainment system with voice control, 8-inch display and USB connectivity, AUX-in and Bluetooth. This system is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with Siri Eyes-Free for easy reception of calls, music and maps.
The spotted model was heavily camouflaged, suggesting that the vehicle will undergo significant design changes with an updated list of features. In addition to the style settings, the interior of the vehicle will also be modified several times as new features. The car will continue with the existing platform and powertrain options. The current model is available with three engine options: a 1.2-liter gasoline, a 1.5-liter gasoline and a 1.5-liter TDCI diesel. The company could modify these engines to improve overall energy efficiency. Transmission options should also remain the same.
The 2018 Ford Aspire facelifted sedan to come at a price slightly higher than the current model. The present Aspire compact sedan is sold between Rs. 5.49 lakh and Rs. 8.16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Expect the next model to be sold between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Anyway, it is likely that Ford will maintain the competitiveness of its compact sedan compared to its competitors.
