2018 Land Rover Defender Works – Land Rover has announced a high-performance version of the iconic Defender, a limited edition, with up to 150 V8 powered models to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Land Rover brand in 2018.The Defender Works V8 pays tribute to the first major power The 1979 Series III Stage 1 V8 engines and subsequent Defenders, including the 50th Anniversary Edition, are now highly sought after by fans and collectors alike.
Eight standard body colors include two satin finishes – contrasting with a Santorini Black roof, wheel arches and grille – finished with machined aluminum door handles, a tank cap and Defender lettering. A complete upgrade of the lighting includes dual LED headlights.
The classic Land Rover Classic infotainment system is also equipped. The interior has been specially treated, with a full Windsor leather trim, Recaro bucket seats, and Land Rover Classic Infotainment System fitted as standard. Exclusive exterior touches include machined aluminum door handles and a fuel tank cap, special satin finish finishes, and a dual LED lighting package for better night vision.
Windsor leather interior trim covers Recaro dashboard, door panels, headlining and sports seats.
The 2018 Land Rover Defender Works V8 is a completely redesigned collector’s edition that features a 5.0-liter, 400 hp, naturally aspirated V8; away from the traditional 120 hp four-cylinder diesel engine. Paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that includes a sport mode, it will pull the SUV from 0-60mph in just creaky 5.6 seconds, and on a limited top speed of 106mph.
