Porsche will prove that electric motors and great power are the perfect match when it debuts the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S-E Hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show. And this Panamera, which will be a hybrid plug-in, packs some serious grunts under the hood.
2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Review
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will go on sale in the US by the end of the year in two wheelbases, with the executive model offering an additional 5.9 inches for the benefit of rear passengers. For the US market, the Panamera will be offered with the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport, including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Sport Pack Chrono and Power Steering Plus. In addition, the three-chamber air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management will be standard, as well as auxiliary air conditioning. The long wheelbase model will also provide rear axle steering, and both models will carry the 21-inch 911 Turbo Design wheels.
2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Engine
The 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid packs a total of 680 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque from a powertrain that features a 4.0-liter 550-hp V8 and a 136-hp electric motor. A 14.1 kilowatt-lithium-ion battery provides juice, and the car can travel about 31 miles on just electricity. All low-end torque allows this great hybrid to hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds en route for a top speed of 192mph. A dual-clutch eight-speed PDK transmission and a four-wheel all-wheel drive complete the propulsion system. The battery takes 12 hours to charge on a 120 ampere outlet of 10 amperes but less than three hours using a 240 amp, 40 amp outlet.

2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Price
The hybrid comes in a standard wheelbase, starting at $ 185,450, and an executive wheelbase ($ 195,850). It is hitting dealers by the end of the year.
