The current Bentayga was released in 2015 and was released soon after. The car has been marketed as the most expensive and fastest production SUV to date. Despite being one of the most expensive cars on the market, it quickly became Bentley’s best-selling vehicle. In order to keep it on top, it seems that an update will be available with the future 2019 Bentley Bentayga. Until now, there is still very little information on this vehicle. Even so, Bentley said some time ago that they are looking to pull out three brand new engines for the car. With these new engines, the Bentayga should also receive a price drop and probably an external redesign. The end result should be better looking, more efficient and better driven than its predecessor.
Even if the current model has a polarizing design, it still seems very successful, especially because there is no other car like that on the road. The next 2019 Bentley Bentayga is not going to change much on the outside. Most rumors suggest different wheels for the base models and probably a slightly different front for the plug-in hybrid. This should receive a new grille, different LED headlights and more than likely different brakes. In addition to all this, also awaits some new colors that will be unique to the hybrid.
There is no doubt that the interior of the current model is one of the best on the market. However, this could be further improved even further. The car will probably receive Porsche’s new infotainment system which will also be used on the next Continental. Some also suggested that the Bentayga could receive a new group of instruments that would allow the driver to further personalize his experience.
A prototype for the Bentayga plug-in was spotted in public last fall. Its powertrain should be based on the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid configuration, which combines a 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor and transmits power to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is good for 462 horsepower and 30 miles of electric range in the Porsche.
Look for the Bentayga plug-in for sale in the second half of the year, as a 2019 model. It will probably be called Bentayga Hybrid, and its price should start slightly above the $ 200,000 mark.
