2019 Infiniti QX50 – Infiniti has completely redesigned its luxury compact SUV, the QX50, for 2019, the 2019 version will have a new style both inside and out, as well as major changes in available transmissions. With its arrival in early 2018, as announced at the Los Angeles International Auto Show last November, there will be no 2018 QX50.
The 2019 Infiniti QX50 technology features an 8.0-inch touch screen in the center of the battery, displaying 7.0-inch touchscreen applications, climate controls, and entertainment features. Additional displays include a dashboard driver display and a head-up display projected over a 9.0-inch area of the windshield. If you do not want to use the touch screen feature of both information displays, a rotary controller on the center console can control the infotainment system. Occupants can stream media via one of four USB ports or via Bluetooth. For added security, the QX50 can be optional with a camera vision system, front and rear parking sensors, automatic reverse braking and ProPilot Assist. Luxury features include a 16-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system, quilted leather upholstery, open-pore wood and aluminum interior trim, active noise suppression and a motion-activated tailgate . Steering by wire, a new suspension damping control system and active sound management (engine noise through the speakers). 19-inch or 20-inch wheels are available and LED headlamps and rear lights are standard.
The model is on a new platform and features a pioneering VC-Turbo engine that adjusts the compression ratio to maximize efficiency and performance. This 2.0 liter turbocharger develops 268 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Also look for available ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous technology, which helps drivers steer, accelerate and brake in one lane in traffic. It also includes direct adaptive steering, a cable steering system that is a first for an Infiniti front-wheel drive.
The new QX50 will go on sale in the spring of 2018, but Infiniti is now accepting reservations.
